FAQs—Frequently Asked Questions
I've read all those self help books, so how can coaching help me?
Ah yes, "shelf help." All those books, DVDs, and CDs are full of great information. But it's what you do with that information that counts. Are you doing nothing but developing a great book collection? Or are you really using those tools?
Once we start working together, the game is on! You will learn to incorporate those tools—and tools I will tailor for you—to achieve the success you've been visualizing!
Why should I coach with you?
Because you'll get a "take action = get results" process. When you—or your business team—is ready for a serious approach toward achieving goals, and living a higher quality of life, the individualized program I create for you will give you specific action steps to get you where you want to be.
But this is not for the lazy! Your program will be action-oriented and blinder-busting. That is, you'll have to take the action steps, and be willing to take a hard look at what's holding you back. But if you want results for you or your team, the program will work for you!
How does the coaching process work?
Coaching takes place in person or over the phone. For three weeks out of four, we have a 45-minute session. Sessions are the first three weeks of the month, the last week is a break week.
During sessions, we will clarify where you or your team is, in regards to the desired outcome, and put a specific Take Action Plan in place for the following week—a plan that all members are committed to achieving.
How long does this coaching program run? How long does it take to achieve my goals?
The answer to this question really depends on several factors:What the goals are How many people are involvedWhat type of habits related to the goal you currently have
And, most importantly:
Your participation and dedication
You must be committed to the process. If you're a team leader, you and I will work to get all the team members inspired to be committed.
At the very minimum, though, it usually takes 3 to 6 months to see permanent change. But many of my clients continue the process toward greater and greater successes.
Are you a counselor?
No. Counselors spend time looking back. As your coach, we'll start with where you are today, acknowledge any old blocks that are holding you back, bust through them, and get you where you want to be!
